One of our safety consultants will conduct a comprehensive
evaluation of your home. We'll point out potential hazards - some which
you may have considered, others that you have not - and offer advice
on how to best secure these areas. Some will be simple changes that
you can do yourself, such as moving furniture that children can climb
on away from windows and placing skid resistant mats underneath area
rugs. Other will require professional installation including gates on
circular staircases and wall mounts to secure heavy furniture. No matter
what the task is, our installers are able to handle it for you.
We'll also conduct environmental tests to check for radon, lead and
water purity. These are the invisible hazards that, if left undetected,
could have devastating consequences.
During our consultation we'll provide you with a list of common household
plants that are poisonous and make you aware of the latest product recalls
from the Consumer Products Safety Commission. You'll also hear about
other topics including crib safety, fire hazards and drowning. At the
end of the consultation you will have the knowledge to out-smart you
curious toddler at every turn! We'll provide a safety check-list and
recommendations, with a detailed cost estimate for products and services,
for properly safeguarding your home. Included with this will be a listing
of important local emergency numbers, useful web sites and upcoming
events including local CPR courses.
We will then set up an appointment to come back and custom install those
items that you have selected.
And, because the dangers your child faces will change as he or she gets
older, you'll be hearing back from us on their birthday to remind you
to upgrade your baby proofing.
